About Dawn Mostow

Dawnamatrix president Dawn Mostow is currently pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts in Visual Arts at Harvard University and holds a Master of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute, NYC and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, FL.  Dawn was formally trained in the art of kimono wearing while living in Japan for many years in rural Takayama City. She fuses the beauty and elegance of kimonos with the sensuality and graphic quality of latex. Her kimono patterns reflect authentic kimonos, featuring variable sizing and open sleeve backs for comfort and ease of movement. Any of these kimonos may be worn with traditional Japanese kimono garments such as naga-juban (under kimono) or authentic obi and accessories. For a more modern look, these latex kimonos may also be paired with her latex obi, or your favorite corset or waist cincher.

A New Way to Find Rubber Fashion: RubberPages.com

November 25, 2010 by · Comments Off

RubberPages is a great idea – an online shopping mall, bringing top latex fashion designers together in one place for you to browse.

Says Matt, the CRO (Chief Rubber Officer) of RubberPages.com…

“I started this site because there can be a lot of factors to consider when buying rubber and every day it seemed like a new shop emerged with a great set of products. I am confident that there are a ton of people out there with the same frustration and hopefully this site will help them. In fact, I plan to make my own next purchase using RubberPages.com”

You can find a we variety of rubber clothing, bondage, toys and accessories from retailers worldwide. Every product listing has a full description, colour samples and customisable details to help you make a decision.

Searches can be narrowed down to the last detail by filtering up to 50 options including price, thickness, colours and sizing. Prices are also available in seven different currencies and updated daily.

Another interesting feature to help you save time and money is the custom design request. After joining the site for free, you can post a request for any type of product and all of the listed retailers can choose to bid on it.

And to make your search experience even easier you can create wish lists, save searches and be up-to-date with all of the listed retailer promotions.

These photos are all from one of our favourite designers on RubberPages, Lady Lucie. You can find her designs, among many others, on the site.

The Latex Repair Kit

October 28, 2010 by · Comments Off

Here’s a useful new product from Bella Black designs, the Latex Repair Kit… Bella was an enthusiastic fetish clubber in Los Angeles, loved wearing rubber and became a fetish model, as well as holding down a job as Dungeon Manager for one of LA’s top dominatrixes. She says “We were always ripping vacbeds, clothing and other latex accessories. I began repairing and modifying the latex around the studio and also my own that had torn while I was out on the town. Through word of mouth I started building a private clientele of models and dominatrixes. The idea for the Latex Repair Kit was born! “

Bella’s kit allows people who like wearing latex to easily repair their ripped and torn clothing, as well as modify their items with colourful appliqués. There’s an array of colours and thickness. The standard kit retails for $25 and special orders are accepted for a small extra charge.

This is just the handy product that you’ll need when you get your favourite latex catsuit out to go partying and then discover an annoying little tear. Get Bella’s Latex Repair Kit and be prepared!

d.vote – The New Face of Rubber Fetish for Men

July 15, 2010 by · 3 Comments

Historically, rubber clothing designers have focused on creating gorgeous styles for women. When it came to rubber, men had to settle for a limited range of outfits, which felt and looked more like an afterthought than a real creative effort. Although there has always been a strong male rubber fetish community, style and design were simply not on offer for them. Read more
