L.A. Bondage by Dave Naz
January 6, 2010 by webslave · Leave a Comment
“Dave’s a pervert like Charles Bukowski, Henry Miller, and Hans Belmer were perverts,” says his best friend Eric Kroll in the Introduction to L.A. Bondage. Los Angeles photographer Dave Naz meets up with expert riggers Damon Pierce, Mykal Binds and Julie Simone, in his grandmother’s backyard, where more than two dozen ladies are in all states of undress, ready to be shot for some honest bondage photography.
The guy has evident talent when it comes to erotic photography, having worked with GQ, FHM, Maxim, Nerve, Stern.de and Salon, and having shot for his own other Goliath titles such as Panties, Legs, Fresh: Girls of Seduction, and Lust Circus, as well as books with other photographers.
One of the first porn magazines Dave ever bought was a bondage one, and now, years later, I wonder if he ever thought he would be making his own more sophisticated versions. Yes, a lot of the women are cute perky young things with envious bodies, but at least they all look like you could possibly run into them down the street in California. You’ll spot some frail boyish figures but there is also an abundance in fleshy curves, unshaved bits, real beauty marks, and the occasional tattoo and body piercing. Some of the women are even getting on in age quite wonderfully.
Damon Pierce is also obviously a force to be reckoned with, especially if you encounter him with several feet of hemp rope. A lot of attention is paid to detail in his riggings, making them almost as wearable as any couture outfit. Read more

The seventh annual Skin Two party in Atlanta is the city’s biggest fetish event, run by our friends at SecretRoom, net. This year, we had a medical theme… and we discovered Marilyn Chen. Fetish party snapshots are great, but for a while now we’ve also had a professional photographer with a studio setup. Chen is simply the best I’ve yet seen. Here’s her gallery from our recent party – she totally captures the personalities and the atmosphere. Read more
Strapped: The Art of the Decorated Jockstrap
January 1, 2009 by webslave · Comments Off

After buying his first jockstrap (never worn, but rather adored) as a young man at a sport shop in Carlisle, Scottish designer Colin Corbett hasn’t been able to resist their campy presence. The man eventually started sprinkling them with feathers and diamantes, then next thing you know, he had a collection under his belt ready for exhibition (or for Carnival in Rio). Read more
Flagrante Delicto, New Erotica by Will Santillo

There must be a thousand books of kinky sex photographs on the market. Most of them are crap. A pretty model in a rubber dress and heels, maybe carrying a whip, and you’re done. We get loads of them at Skin Two. Most get a quick glance and then it’s down to the local charity shop. They love us in there. Read more
STARE – Fetish photography by Derek Ridgers
July 29, 2008 by rachel_may · Comments Off
A new tome by a scene veteran is often greeted with antipathy but when it’s Derek Ridgers you sit up and pay attention. This new Goliath book is worth a spot on anyone’s coffee table. It’s a perfectly formed collection of clubbing photos, which, upon reading, makes you remember exactly what you were doing in the 1990s. Or what you wished you’d been doing.
The shots span clubs, a decade, good/bad hairstyles and clothes and reiterate why Ridgers is one of the great fetish photographers of all time. From Club Rub, TG, Wonderland and Whacko to the various Rubber Balls, this book puts you inside the darkened stairwells that the bearded snapper lurks in, waiting for the right subject to sidle past. And that perhaps is Ridgers’ greatest gift. Read more

London Bound, the Book of Women in Bondage, by Mark Varley
February 7, 2008 by rachel_may · Comments Off
In 2007 photographer and rope bondage artist Mark Varley took his camera and his ropes into the homes of real London women, many trying rope bondage for the first time.
The result is his second book, London Bound. There are 18 women, over 200 pages, and a lot of rope. It’s a stunning, must-own collection of fine bondage photography, for collectors.
This is not a collection of glossy photos of tired professional models, nor an ethereal, stylised portrayal of a Japanese art form. It’s a strong and sexy album of 18 real London women having fun with bondage. We love it. Read more
