Club Extremm: Monthly on Wednesdays in Exeter

February 18, 2010 by webslave · Leave a Comment

Extremm_003It’s a while since we were at Club Extremm, down in Exeter, and we’re glad to report that it has been back at the excellent venue, The Vaults in Gandy Street, for some time. Your host, MizBehave, presides over a busy club with people of all ages and kinky persuasions, from all over the South West.

Extremm is every third Wednesday of the month, from 8pm until late. You can play all night on the various pieces of dungeon furniture and equipment, including a St.Andrew’s cross, bondage and suspension frame, various sized cages, spanking benches and stocks. There’s also a private area curtained off if you’d like more privacy.

Extremm is right in the centre of Exeter, surrounded by many B&Bs, hotels and restaurants. It’s only two minutes walk from Exeter Central railway station, making it the ideal mid-week getaway in the West Country.

There’s a private smoking area, ample changing facilities and plenty of parking nearby. The club is fully licenced and has a secure cloakroom. Doorstaff and Dungeon Monitors ensure that members are safe to enjoy their night without incident, enforcing a safe, sane and consensual code of conduct.

Photography is forbidden but, if you’d like pictures, you are free to pose for their professional guest photographers in designated areas. Photographs are then posted on the official website and/or emailed to you.

Every month there is a unique theme to dress to. Although not compulsory, this is a fun aspect if you’re into dressing up – see their website for all the details.

Entry is £10 for members and £15 for non-members.  Annual membership is £20 and gets you cheaper entry, free entry if your birthday falls within a week of the event and free entry into the monthly prize draw.

Club Extremm also runs bi-monthly bondage workshops on Sunday afternoons at a local hotel.

Extremm is every third Wednesday of the month at The Vaults, 8 Gandy Street, Exeter EX4 3LS

For further details, visit www.clubextremm.com or find them on Facebook and Fetlife.

The Kage Monthly in Bury, Lancashire

February 11, 2010 by webslave · 1 Comment

The Kage is absolutely the club I’d recommend if you live anywhere remotely within reach of Bury. It’s on the last Sunday of each month, tucked away in a back street. The place is on different levels, with a bar area for chilling out and chatting, various dimly lit hideaway rooms for behaving badly in, a dungeon for playing and – would you believe – a swimming pool where you can take a dip in your rubber. There’s even a pool table for posing on, bending over or, if you must, playing pool on. Read more

Boston Fetish Fair Fleamarket

January 5, 2010 by webslave · Leave a Comment

The New England Leather Association’s Fetish Fair Fleamarket began in Boston in 1992 and it’s been held twice yearly since then. The founder of the event, Cecilia Tan, has now joined forces with other activists, including Danny of Leather by Danny, to bring the FFF to other parts of the USA, including Atlanta and Charlotte. The event is low-cost and brings together kink-curious newcomers, old hands and vendors.

Fetish Fair Fleamarket 001

The larger of the two Boston events is in Winter. Several thousand leather loving, paddle happy kinkos make their way to the mecca of SM merchandising in the Boston area.

Cecilia Tan, author, editor, baseball addict and friend of fetishists, has been the feminine principle of the Fleas these many years. And it has not been an easy job.  At one time the grand dame of Boston hotels, the Boston Park Plaza Hotel played host to mustachioed men in leather lederhosen and women with large breasts on display with only strips of black electrical tape crisscrossed on their nipples.

Fetish Fair Fleamarket 003

Fetish Fair Fleamarket 002Along with many booths selling wares such as handmade canes for caning, carefully constructed and constricting corsets, and BDSM publications aplenty, there were educational classes and fundraisers for folks who had been convicted of enjoying an alternate lifestyle. And people had fun being exhibitonists in fancy surroundings.

But some nagging and complaining Boston bluebloods made it impossible for the Park Plaza to host the Fleas forever. This Winter’s FFF will take place on February 12-14 at the Westin in Providence, Rhode Island.
